What services do you provide?
- We offer residential and bulk item pick up
What items are not accepted?
- Hazardous waste (batteries, chemicals, propane tanks, paints, oils, and solvents)
- Medical waste (needles, pathogens, bodily fluids)
- Construction and demolition materials, concrete, rock, dirt,
- Large automotive parts, tires, engines
- Any item too large for the compactor
- Electronics (TVs, fridges, etc).
• These must go to the E-Waste Program at 900 Madison St., Gary, IN 46402.
Monday - Friday, Between the hours of 8:00 am - 2:30pm
What should I do if my trash was missed?
- Please call Gary 311 at (219) 881-1311. A pickup will be scheduled within 24 hours.

Do you offer bulk or large item pickup?
- Yes, we offer pickup for furniture, appliances, mattresses, and other large items the first week of each month

Do you offer larger item and rubbish drop-off?
- Yes, Residents may now take bulk items to Republic Waste Services

What should I do if my bin is damaged?
- If your bin is damaged, please call Gary 311 at (219) 881-1311. to request a repair or replacement.

How do holidays affect pickup schedules?
- If a holiday falls on your pickup day, collection typically moves to the next business day.
Can I have more than one can?
Yes
- For a single-unit residence, yes an additional can may be requested, there is a $25 registration fee and your service fee will be increased $12
- For a multi-unit residence, yes an additional can may be requested, there is a $25 registration fee and your service fee will be increased $24.15
